Office Administrator – full time role
To be a pivotal and varied role within a small team, you will act as the first point of contact for customers, provide administration support to all team members to ensure their efficiency and effectiveness and to take responsibility for the ‘samples’ services’ success.
General Duties will include:
- Office administration, general office maintenance and upkeep
- Maintaining stationery stock and other office supplies, plus upkeep of office machines and equipment.
- Ensuring all orders are efficiently processed and sent to customers before the deadlines to ensure customer satisfaction.
- To take a lead role in the ‘samples’ service.
- Management of all correspondence both letter and email with customers, press and partners.
- Management of filing systems and paperwork archiving.
- Assistance with customer service and sales.
- Acting as reception and front of house.
- Undertake administration and supervisory role of the recruitment of temporary staff.
- Preparation and organisation of resources and equipment for our sales stand at events.
- To work within a small, busy and hard working team for a company that is diversifying and expanding.
- Other duties as reasonably identified within role.
Qualifications, Skills, Experience and Personal Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience in administration role.
- First rate organisation and communications skills, plus attention to detail and accuracy required.
- Must be honest and committed to the businesses expansion.
- To hold a high level of literacy and an excellent telephone manner.
- Must have good understanding of jewellery and/or able to learn quickly.
- 2 satisfactory employer references.
- Min A-levels or equivalent education
- IT literate – Word / Excel / Email and Internet
- Prepared and willing to do occasional out of hours office cover.
Renumeration:
- £15,250 to £17,050 p.a depending upon experience
- 37 hours per week, flexible hours, 5 days per week (some weekend work may be necessary).
- Pro rata of 20 days holiday + 8 bank holidays.
- Contributory pension after 3 years of 10% / Stakeholder pension scheme.
- Opportunities may develop within the company for the role to take on further responsibility.
Admin Support - Temporary Positions
We are looking for people to be placed on hour books that are prepared to work when staff members are off sick, during busy periods of the year.
The role will include supporting the Office Administrator in their role.
- You must be extremely accurate in all aspects of your work, and therefore an eye for detail.
- Able to learn quickly.
- Prepared to work out of hours to get the job in hand achieved within deadlines.
- Have an excellent telephone manner as you may be asked to take on the role of front of house in busy periods.
- Some understanding jewellery is a prerequisite for this role.
