White gold engagement ring or palladium engagement ring?

All our rings can be made in a number of different metals, platinum and white gold being the most popular metals with palladium on the rise... Platinum is the most expensive metal and benefits from being very hard as well while palladium is as strong but much lighter and less expensive. But if your girlfriend wears mainly golden jewellery you may want to think about matching that, whether it is white gold, rose gold or the classic yellow gold. Thinking one step ahead, the wedding ring should ideally be the same metal as the engagement ring so the two metals wear and look the same. All diamonds of 0.25ct and bigger set into a ring are supplied with a diamond certificate unless specified otherwise. On trilogy diamond rings we will usually certify the centre stone and match the side stones in colour and clarity. Most of our stones are certified by the GIA, IGI or HRD - the three most recognised gemmological laboratories in the world. If you are looking at ways to get best value for your money, you may want to consider buying an uncertified diamond which in some cases can make quite a big difference to the price of your ring.
