As a web-based company, we understand that you might want to see your wedding band or engagement ring before you commit to buying it. Our 'try before you buy' service enables you to try on a selection at your leisure, and choose the ideal ring for you. You might want to see a range of shapes and weights, or check the detailing on the engagement ring mount – if so, then this is the service for you.
How does it work? – Wedding bands
to try on at your convenience
We will send you an unhallmarked silver replica of each ring, in the size and shape you request. If we for some reason do not have the exact wedding band you have asked for in stock, we will substitute it for something similar, whilst always ensuring that you get sufficient selection to make your decision. Please also be aware that we do not stock samples in special finishes, or of diamond-set wedding bands.
How does it work? - Shaped wedding rings
We will send you an unhallmarked silver replica of the ring design requested. We are not always able to send the exact finger size in the shaped ring samples, but do not worry – the shaped section of the band remains constant no matter what size you are. In the cases that the sample is not the size requested, we will always also include a plain band to help you confirm your size.

How does it work? - Engagement rings
Samples of engagement rings will be replicas with a cubic zirconia in place of the diamond, to give you an idea of the detailing on the mount and of how the overall ring will look. We offer samples of most of the engagement rings we sell – others can be made to order but this may take up to 4 weeks. Click here to browse our range of engagement rings.
How do I order a sample ring?
Simply browse the website and select the ring you want, as if you were choosing the real thing. Then, instead of selecting 'purchase', choose 'order sample' instead. You can choose up to 10 wedding ring samples, at a cost of £2.00 per ring (ex VAT), plus £12+VAT to cover postage (Special Delivery) both ways. Engagement rings will cost £5 per ring (ex VAT), plus postage as above.
How long will my samples take to arrive?
The samples usually take around five working days to be delivered to you, to a maximum of two weeks at busy times of year.
Do I need to return the samples?
Yes – this is key to the delivery of the sample service. To make this easier, we send all sample orders with a pre-paid envelope for you to send them back to us, and we ask that you do this within one week. This envelope must be handed in at the Post Office, so that it can be tracked and insured by Royal Mail. It will not usually be a problem for you to keep the rings for more than a week – we know people often need time to make the right decision – we just ask that you give us a call to let us know. Failure to return the samples will result in a county court judgement for the full value of the silver rings.
How do I return the samples?
Simply package the samples in the pre-paid envelope and take this to your nearest Post Office. They will courier the parcel to us, and give you a tracking number - please keep hold of this just in case the parcel does not reach us.
Sample Service Terms and conditions
We expect all sample rings to be returned within one week, unless otherwise agreed. If we do not receive them, or a valid Royal Mail tracking number, within this timescale, we will invoice you for the full value of the ring(s), and if this is unpaid then we will pursue the matter through the county courts.
If we do not have the exact sample you've requested in stock, we may substitute this for a similar ring. We will always try to give you ample selection to make your decision, and always send as many rings as have been paid for.
Samples of shaped wedding rings and engagement ring are available in stock sizes only, and therefore additional bands of the size requested will be added to the order. These extra bands must also be returned with the other sample(s).
Our sample service is designed to help you choose wedding rings from our product range - we can not be responsible for any discrepancy between us and other retailers in terms of ring profiles or sizes. Rings of the same descriptions purchased elsewhere may have different profiles and be measured by different standards.
