The countdown continues with our venue(s)!

Living in Brighton we certainly have a lot of beautiful places to choose from for a wedding ceremony. There is the Royal Pavilion, the pier, all the nice hotels on the seafront…but we didn’t choose any of them.

We both knew straight away where we wanted to get married. The question was if there would still be availability as it’s one of Brighton’s most iconic venues. The Brighton Bandstand!!

Dan rung the booking office and luckily enough the only slot left in June was the exact one we wanted. So we booked it straight away and we couldn’t be happier that our ceremony is taking place here on the same day we met seven years ago.

It fits 50 people seated with and additional 30 standing and it’s open for weddings from April through to September every year. The ceremony is taking place in the early afternoon and we’re not moving that far for the celebrations afterwards.

Our reception is to be held at Carousel’s – a fish and chip shop in the arches along Brighton Seafront close to the pier. What better way to celebrate a wedding by the sea than a ride on the carousel and Fish & Chips. 12 weeks to go, it can’t come around quick enough!!
